  1. All 3 programs provide professional licensure status for Vocational Teachers.
  2. Many Vocational Education schools require professional licensure status for tenure.
  3. The B.S. degree in Occupational/Vocational Education meets the minimum qualifications for administrative positions in vocational education programs in Massachusetts.
  4. All of the required courses for the Vocational Teacher Education license can be applied to the B. S. degree program.
  5. Four of the required courses for the Vocational Teacher Education license can be applied to the M.Ed. program as electives.
  6. Many superintendent/directors of vocational education programs in Massachusetts possess an M.Ed. in Occupational Education.
  7. Many teachers have considered the B.S. and M. Ed. programs as part-time jobs, every time they reach a 15 credit completion, their contract rewards them with a salary raise. This raise is also reflected in their retirement pension.
